The Applehead Siamese, also known as the Traditional Siamese is one of the oldest breeds of domestic cat in existence. The cat is muscular, agile and athletic and is recognisable by its brilliant blue eyes and the contrast between point and body color. The breed looks very much the same as it did when it was originally imported from Siam. This breed has maintained a high level of popularity since its development and is very popular today as a domestic pet and show cat.
This breed is an intelligent and sociable cat that thoroughly enjoys human companionship. This cat is happy either playing with its owners or just lying with them or on them as they sit on the couch. This is an even-tempered cat that is very laid back and gentle. The Applehead Siamese is able to live indoors and in an apartment and does not mind if its owner is out during the day. This cat does not demand too much from its owner but will make itself seen and heard if it wants something. With some socialization, the Applehead Siamese will bond very strongly with small children and will also do well with other domestic pets, especially puppies.
